You must have seen BB creams and CC creams in stores. Earlier there was only foundation available, but in recent years BB creams and CC creams have become popular. Let’s read difference between BB Cream and CC Cream.
What is BB cream?
BB stands for Beauty Balm or Blemish Balm. The BB cream contains the ingredients (depending on the brand) as serum, pigments, and moisturizers like hyaluronic acid, glycerin, panthenol, ceramides, and usually sunscreen, skin protectants like vitamins, antioxidants, Brighteners: niacinamide, licorice root, skin firming agents: peptides, hydrolyzed collagen.
Although BB cream is lighter than foundation, it provides long-lasting coverage with a natural or wet finish. It does not provide full coverage so won’t cover freckles and dark spots.
What is CC cream?
CC Cream is an improved version of BB Cream, lighter but with more coverage. A BB cream with the added benefit of a built-in color corrector or concealer,” hence the word “CC” stands for “color control” or“ skin corrector ”. CC Cream is designed to correct discoloration such as redness, dullness, dark circles, uneven skin tone, hyper pigmentation (e.g. brown spots), acne scars. CC Cream focuses on anti-aging properties. Most CC creams are made with an SPF, as well as ingredients that work to remove wrinkles and age spots.
CC creams have a lighter texture than BB creams. They often have a fluffy, whipped texture and a matte finish.
BB vs. CC cream: Which is best for your skin type?

1. Oily skin – CC cream works correctly for oily skin due to its matte texture. When choosing a CC cream, look for an oil-free formula with matte ingredients like silica, colloidal clay, coal.
