Face masks to scrubs: 3 Chocolate infused DIY remedies for supple & buttery skin

When it comes to skincare, there are not too many natural ingredients. While chocolate is often considered too thick to apply to skin and is believed to cause breakouts, it has actually been shown to be the exact opposite. Cocoa is known to be packed with antioxidants and helps protect the skin from common problems like free radicals and signs of premature aging. Wondering how to fit this delicious dessert into your skincare routine? We’ve got you covered!

Chocolate Mask

Combine 2 tablespoons of yogurt with a tablespoon of dark cocoa powder and a tablespoon of honey. Mix it well and apply it to your face. Leave it on for at least 20 minutes before washing it off and then drying it.

Chocolate Scrub

In a large bowl, mix together 1 cup of brown sugar, 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder, and 3 tablespoons of coconut oil. Mix them well so there are no lumps in the formula. Apply to dry skin just before showering and massage into the skin well. Wash with lukewarm water.

If any residue remains, it can be stored in a glass jar for up to two weeks.

Mask for Oily and Acne-Prone Skin

In 5 tablespoons of curd, add 2 tablespoons of multi-mity and 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder. To this, add a dash of fresh lemon juice from half a lemon and a tablespoon of coconut oil. Mix all the ingredients well until a paste is formed and apply evenly on the face and neck. Wash off after 20 minutes with lukewarm water.
