Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma aim to raise Rs. Rs 7 Crore for COVID Relief in India; Donate Rs. 2 crore rupees in fundraising
India is currently battling the second wave of COVID-19 and people are reaching out to do their homework to address the crisis. Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma who is Bollywood superstar aim to raise Rs. Rs 7 crore for COVID relief in India. They are launching a fundraising campaign #InThisTogether on crowd-funding platform Ketto and setting Rs. 2 crore rupees for this initiative.
InThisTogether will run for seven days on Ketto with the proceeds raised going to ACT Grants, which is the implementing partner for this campaign. ACT works extensively for oxygen supply, medical workforce, vaccination awareness and telemedicine during the pandemic and the amount raised by Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma will help with their exemplary work.
Anushka says: “India is going through a very difficult time and the second wave of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic has brought our country into a state of crisis. It is time for all of us to come together and do our duty for the sake of our own. Countrymen in desperate need of support. To the inexplicable suffering that people are going through and we hope this fund will help us in our fight against the virus that we are all facing helpless. We pray for the safety of all.
